Tony is a filmmaker and editor with a background in acting and performance. His film work as a director in both documentary and fiction is rooted in an exploration of human behaviour, family histories, and place, expressed with authenticity, emotionality, and humour.

As an editor and story editor his work centres on collaborative engagement, organically exploring emotional, poetic, and narrative strands to find the heart of the piece. Listening, discussion, and creative experimentation are vital aspects of this process.

His work has played at such festivals as TIFF, SXSW, Hot Docs, AFI Docs, VIFF, SF DocFest, and True/False, among others. He studied at Simon Fraser University where he received his BFA and has participated in talent labs at TIFF and RIDM, as well as the RIDM Rough Cut Sessions.

His films have been supported by grants from Canada Council for the Arts, BC Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, and PRIM Centre.

He is based in Vancouver, Canada on the ancestral, unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
